'The Siren' by Michael Wagner

Mark, Elizabeth, C.W. and the Cetacean crew are sent to look into the mysterious disappearance of three ships. While searching the particular area of the ocean where the vessels vanished, they encounter a submarine operated by Stringer, a modern-day pirate. Stringer has captured a mermaid, and is using her ability to mesmerise people with her hypnotic siren song to lure people to their doom – and it seems that not even Mark is immune to the call of the beautiful Siren…
